Getting to the housing

First things first: you need directions. Before we can give them, we need you to send us your complete travel itinerary. You should update this on the Online Student Gateway as part of your registration process. After we receive this information, we send the directions and check-in instructions for arrival in your pre-departure housing email.

If your university has provided a group flight pick-up, your pre-departure email will contain details about where to meet at the airport.

Housing

All accommodation is centrally located within the city of London. We have scouted out the best neighbourhoods and are confident that you will learn to love your area as much as we do! With space at a premium, don’t be surprised when locals are impressed with your central location. You’ll know what we mean when you arrive!

If your program includes housing, we’ll ask you about any particular housing requirements you may have (such as information about allergies, dietary preferences, and roommate requests) in the registration process in the Online Student Gateway. Please note that the overall location of your housing is chosen by your university – EUSA cannot consider requests to move to different halls of residence or properties.

You will receive a predeparture email with exact address details, including instructions for receiving mail if your residence has facilities for receiving mail (if it does not, you will be able to collect mail at the EUSA program office – see Keeping in Touch).

Things may be a bit smaller than you are used to since space is limited, so pack smartly, pack lightly. You may find yourself sharing a small closet or armoire with your roommate and will soon realize what we mean! With 60 million people squeezed onto an island the size of the state of Michigan, it’s not surprising personal space is so highly valued. This, we hope, you’ll find a part of the cultural experience!

The housing is fully furnished, complete with common areas, internet connections, phone lines, a basic weekly housekeeping service, and a kitchen with basic cooking supplies (i.e. pots and pans).

You will need to bring your own towels.
