EUSA

Immigration and Visa Compliance

You made it to London, which means you successfully obtained a student visa.

EUSA is required to keep a photocopy of your passport on file, so please bring this with you to orientation.

We need to make sure you stay compliant with the conditions of your visa, which you will do through balancing your work placement with academic, reflective, and cultural activities.

These may include:

  • Orientation the day after you arrive and activities your first week, such as the “Bringing London to Life” scavenger hunt and research project, a blue badge tour, and welcome reception
  • An academic course taught by a professor from your campus or by EUSA faculty for your school
  • Weekly cultural excursions, including supervised Thursday night outings and unsupervised events on Wednesdays
  • Study time on Monday and Tuesday nights to complete academic work and weekly reflective questions.
  • Cultural excursions on select weekends

Every university has slightly different program compliance requirements.  Your orientation pack will contain a schedule of the mandatory events you need to attend to be compliant with the terms of your visa.  EUSA is required to report non-compliance to the UK Border Agency. If you fail to attend mandatory events without a valid excuse, you may jeopardize your stay in the UK.

If you have any questions, please ask your program manager.
