Visa and Immigration

Your visa to Ireland is the entry stamp the customs agent stamped in your passport when you arrived.

Your visa is contingent on your participation in the EUSA program. Walking out of a placement or failure to attend your placement may affect your Irish visa status.

If you are concerned you may have been issued the wrong stamp when entering Ireland, simply bring your passport into the EUSA office and we can tell you whether you have the correct stamp.

Do not be alarmed if you did not get your passport stamped for the full duration of your course when you cleared Immigration at the airport. Some people are simply referred to the Garda National Immigration Bureau as a matter of course; it is ultimately nothing to be alarmed by.

All students in programmes lasting for longer than 90 days – or those intending to remain and travel in Ireland for more than 90 days – must register with the GNIB, 13/14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2 (by Tara Street DART station).  Please note when making your travel arrangements that you may be charged 150EUR by the Department of Justice and Equality if you intend to stay for longer than 90 days; this fee cannot be paid in cash.

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR EUSA IMMIGRATION LETTER WHEN YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE IRELAND
