Q: How does EUSA work?
A:

EUSA collaborates with you to develop a for-credit internship program for your students. We can work with a variety of educational partners including individual professors, departments, colleges and universities. Our educational partners come from both large state institutions and small liberal arts colleges. We develop both summer and full-semester programs.

We provide a well-managed, academically-directed internship experience for your students by:

  • Requiring mid-term reviews for students participating in an internship
  • Obtaining the supervisor's and the student's written evaluations
  • Requiring students to participate in reflective activities to encourage students to connect experiential learning to theoretical concepts from their field of study
  • Providing office hours where our internship staff is available after business hours to trouble-shoot urgent issues arising from the internship

Q: What are the estimated costs?
A:

Exact costs are dependent on program parameters and are calculated based on factors such as city, number of weeks, selection of academic component, choice of housing, number of participants and other factors. However, the following price ranges can be used as a gauge for a typical program:

  • Eight-week, summer program (including housing and internship) - $3,200 - $4,200 per student.
  • Twelve-week, semester program (including housing, academic courses and an internship) - $6,500 - $11,500 per student.

This is an estimate of costs that EUSA charges to your university, but your university decides the actual cost of the program charged to students.
